We all love Penuche’s! It is one of the best bars around for live original music. The bar is always packed and the music is always amazing. Sometimes though; your band will play and no one shows up! Here are the top 5 reasons no one came!

Best Of Part 2!

We here at Yourband.info are sick of these “best of” voting contests that other magazines are holding. Each one of them is not any sort of real “best of”; it is more of “who can cheat and get their computer to click vote more times.” If you don’t believe us, go down to Penuche’s in Concord and ask for their “World Famous Poutine”

What we have done instead is asked our favorite musicians from around the area to tell us about their favorite band. If you are in a band and want to tell us who your favorite band is; contact us! Read part one here

Amanda Palmer has an interesting take on asking for funds for her music. A Boston native and creator of the band The Dresden Dolls does a talk about how she is able to have fans give her money for her art without asking. I have seen and heard a lot of projects from Kickstarter and some work and some fail. The key she says, it making a connection. Is it really that easy? Can we bash down the Metallica’s and give our music away for free?

Run Gazelle Run

Run Gazelle Run is a local New Hampshire band that has been gaining some momentum over the past year or so. You may have seen them performing with Ghost Dinner Band or perhaps you are looking forward to catching them live at this year’s Go Local Camp and Jam. Whatever the case, they are amazing, fun and a band that you should go see. They released their début album at the end of last year and it can be found on most of those online places for purchase(includes that Steve jobs site). Since we think you may know very little about this band, we thought you might want to know some obscure facts about them.

Last week we featured an article about local music promoter, musician, and all around nice guy, Lucas Gallo. This week we take aim at ‘Go Local Music’ founder, president, and CEO... Mark Trottier. If you are a part of the local music scene in New Hampshire, you have seen Mark at shows, putting on shows, playing shows, hitting on farm animals and setting up sound for shows. His organization, Go Local Music, puts on a few local festivals a year. These festivals feature some of the best local bands from around Concord. This past year they most famously held Camp and Jam Four and Camp Captain Crunchy. Each event had tons of bands, camping and beer. This year Go Local Music is putting on Camp and Jam V!!!(The V stands for awesome in case you fail Roman numerals). This year’s Camp and Jam features twice the bands, three times the days and I would assume lots more beer.
