18th Annual New England Homebrewers Jamboree 2014

18th Annual New England Homebrewers Jamboree

What are you doing September 5 - September 7 2014? I am heading up to Tamworth, New Hampshire for the 18th Annual New England Homebrewers Jamboree. This festival features some of the best regionally brewed beer you can find. You get to taste, camp and get pretty snookered. Along with all of that, you get to hear the top band bands in the state play their tunes. Like peanut butter and jelly- music and beer go together perfectly. PLUS- there is camping!!!! Camping and music go together well like umm… beer and music. On top of all that, this is an event that cares. All the proceeds from the Jamboree benefit Make-A-Wish New Hampshire.

The best day to go up is Saturday September 6th and stay overnight camping into Sunday. The bands will be playing on Saturday and you don’t want to miss it. The guys at Go Local Music have put together a great line up of music for you to enjoy on a big stage. Crunchy Western Boys, The Ghost Dinner Band, Boogie On Alice 3, Beechwood, The Youngest Sun, Rippin' E Brakes, Mines of Paris, Captain Chet Lawson's Snake Oil Revue, The Van Burens, Modern Fools, Jim Tyrrell and more!

I don’t know about you, but I am excited to see the Rippin’ E Brakes. If you have been following us, you saw our review of this band from their Market Days performance and you know this is one of my favorite local bands right now. I also can’t wait to see Mines of Paris- not for their music but because their bass player has the coolest little bass and I want to touch it again.(hmm- that sounds creepy when I read it again)

So, get your butt to the event. If you don’t go for the beer, go for the camping… if you don’t go for the camping, go for the music. If you don’t go for the music, go for the kids. If you don’t go for the kids go because you want to see if Steve from Crunchy Western Boys will spontaneously combust.
