On Friday night I went to the Grange in Penacook and saw The Cole Robbie Band w/ Matt Poirier. Not sure what could be more awesome- good music, low cover charge and BYOB. Instead of paying 4 bucks for each PBR, I could just sit there and drink my 30 pack… all to myself. I am kidding- KIDDING- I didn’t sit there and just drink- I DANCED. The Cole Robbie Band are a reggae, funk and Grateful dead type band. I enjoyed their style of playing and it made for great tunes to shake my money maker (my money maker is extremely awesome and alone worth the price of admission).
Not only was the music great but the guys in the band were friendly. That is one of the great things about the Grange- You get to really meet some cool people. If you like music, this is the place for you to be. No one is there playing pool interrupting your flow of dancing, no one watching the Bruins game, no one there just to drink and be stupid. People are nice and there to bond over music. Towards the end of the night the band(who I had never met) actually let me join them on stage playing bass. What a great community of musicians we have!!!! Two thumbs up for Cole Robbie band and Matt Poirier.
